Getting a torch is easy. Most vendors in the different areas sell a torch for a bit of gold. You can even get one from the first vendor you meet. This item is quite common to find, and since they are cheap, you can keep them in your inventory. During your exploration of the overworld, you can also pick them up. If you reach the Shadow Cursed land without a torch, you can find some right at the region entrance. You can then pick it up and light them to continue your quest.

To light your torch, you can equip it on your character and it will brighten up. If it doesn’t work, you can switch hands to see if it helps. If that still doesn’t work, manually find a light source like a chandelier or another lit torch. Get up to it with your torch equipped and press the Dip button in your character bar. This will make the character holding the torch dip it into the fire source. You will be able to use a torch to progress further in the game.
