Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s Forgotten Saga is the latest free DLC update that was released a few days ago. In this update, as your characters explore Niflheim, they will often come across free beverages or “drinks” that come attached with a note that encourages any passersby to try one of these drinks.
A secret sommelier leaves these free drinks across the realm. They always come in sets of 3- of which Odin can pick only one to drink. One must be careful about attempting to drink one of these as two of them will poison you and only one of them will give you a Health Upgrade.
Below we talk about how players must deal with these free drinks under different circumstances and what we found to be the safest option in our own playthrough of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s Forgotten Saga.
Safest Drink in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s Forgotten Saga
There will be 3 drinks laid out on the table in 3 different chalices. Your character of Odin is required to pick one from the left, center, or right drink. If you are lucky you will get a health boost and if not you’ll be subjected to harmful, health-depleting conditions.
In our own experience, the drink on the left is the safest and will give you a health upgrade. In a majority of these free drink choices, we found the left drink to be the safest- that said, it is not always so. In our reruns of the game, the same left drink that gave us a health upgrade the first time poisoned us in our following runs.
We later also found out that these are randomized drinks and thus any one of them could be the beneficial one while the other two are poisonous. It’s all about luck at the end of the day. Our personal recommendation is that if your character has a low health bar then you should skip on these free drinks entirely. If you instead have full health or high health then you can try making a gamble and hope for the best.
I have tested this. The drink depends on the colour not the cup. Purple is poison, cream is health upgrade, orange is healing. You must look before interacting! P.S. I’m hugely colourblind so please correct if these colours are not quite right.
