Are there Microtransactions in Hogwarts Legacy?
The Community Manager for Hogwarts Legacy, Chandler Wood, confirmed via Twitter that there will be no microtransactions. Also, the quick and simple answer, supported by information on the official Frequently Asked Questions page say, there will be no microtransactions in Hogwarts Legacy.
There is only one exception, however. The Dark Arts Pack can either be obtained for free with the Deluxe Edition, or you can buy it separately. However, premium cash and special abilities will not be restricted by a paywall.
It’s possible that things will change since this tweet was posted in March 2022 and the game is yet to be released, but Avalanche is unlikely to add microtransactions this close to the game’s release. This game is not a live service, but rather an RPG, so microtransactions aren’t as necessary.
