Artifacts play a pivotal role in the immersive world of Genshin Impact, holding great importance for both gameplay and narrative elements. These powerful items are more than just mere equipment; they are intrinsically connected to the elemental forces that shape the fantastical land of Teyvat.
Version 3.6 of Genshin Impact introduced two new artifact sets which look fantastical but in this article, we discuss if their effects are out of this world too. Are these artifacts worth spending your precious resin on- are they worth the time for farming- read on to find out!
Brand New Artifact Sets’ Value in Genshin Impact 3.6
The latest artifact sets introduced in Version 3.6 may look great on paper but are actually disappointing in effect. Read on below as we dissect both the new artifact sets and their set effects and how they’re not as good as they may seem.
Nymph’s Dream
This set looks like it’s tailor-made for Hydro DPS units like Childe or Ayato. And it’s not a bad set per se- just not resin efficient due to the other set in this domain being rather bad. The set increases Hydro Damage Bonus by 15% as its 2-piece bonus and with a full 4-piece set you can effectively increase your Normal Attack Speed by 10%, and Normal Attack Damage by 40% with 3 stacks of the Mirrored Nymph stack. It can be Childe’s best-in-slot set and it can be Ayato’s second-best artifact set in terms of DPS damage.
Ultimately it’s only a marginal DMG increase of 5-10% when compared to their previously available sets and builds- which are much more easily available and are in more resin-efficient domains. Chances are you already have a great set with good stats on them with years of farming in which case farming for this set can be a waste of time and resin unless you really want to bring out more damage out of your Hydro DPS’.
Vourukasha’s Glow
This artifact set was probably tailor-made for Dehya as she is not functional without it. The set grants 20% HP as its 2-piece bonus and increases your E Skill and Burst DMG by up to a maximum of 50% for about 5 seconds which is already too small a time to matter. You get a flat 10% DMG increase to your E Skill and Burst after equipping the 4-set but a further increase comes when your character takes DMG on-field. This further increase stacks up to 8 times and each stack remains for 5 seconds. Essentially, thus only viable for an on-field DPS Dehya which is already an unpopular build.
That said, both the artifact sets might become very useful when Fontaine drops and we know this isn’t the first time Genshin Impact devs have pulled something like this. However, as of now, these sets are not worth farming due to being resin inefficient and lack of viable characters and scenarios which can utilise these sets to their fullest extent.
Artifacts often bear historical and cultural significance, unravelling the lore of Teyvat and offering players a deeper understanding of the game’s rich tapestry. Whether as sources of raw power or as conduits of storytelling, artifacts hold an irreplaceable position in Genshin Impact, enriching the gameplay experience and immersing players in a world where treasures are more than just loot, but gateways to unlocking the secrets of a captivating universe. At least in that knowledge- we can be thankful for all new sets no matter their viability or utility.
