To quickly complete this mission, you can place a crossbow in your insured slot before jumping onto Ashika Island. If you haven’t acquired a crossbow yet, you can get one after finishing the Unknown Shipping DMZ mission. If you haven’t completed the mission, you can still get one after defeating the Bombmaker in Tsuki Castle. The Bombmaker is the only known enemy that drops the crossbow, so you have to make two runs on Ashika Island.
Now that you have the crossbow, you can attach attachments to make it more powerful. You don’t necessarily need to fight the Bombmaker with just the crossbow, so you can take any powerful weapon with you. You need to land the killing blow using the crossbow, so hit the Bombmaker with any weapon or equipment to lower its health. Once their health is almost depleted, use the crossbow to kill them.
