The Banyan’s Heart is one such item in Phantom Blade Zero, which is necessary for unlocking certain Abilities from the skill tree. Finding the Banyan’s Heart is not included in the main mission, and hence, it is possible to overlook the requirement while roaming around the Crimson Forest. The Banyan’s Heart can be found after defeating some waves of enemies along with Jing Ye, the Outlaw. In this guide, we’ll show you how to get the Banyan’s Heart and explain how to use it to unlock new Abilities.
How to Get the Banyan’s Heart

The Banyan’s Heart is one of the essential progress items in Phantom Blade Zero, as it is needed for unlocking various Abilities in the skill tree. As it is not needed for completing the main story, you may overlook this item on your first visit to the Crimson Forest.
In order to obtain the Banyan’s Heart, go to the Parting Mists Bell in the Crimson Forest. Then take the path to the right and go down until you see a tree in the water. Use your Chain Sickle ability to initiate the cutscene and start a combat fight.
How to Complete the Banyan’s Heart Encounter

This battle comprises two parts, and the game will save your progress after the first part. Hence, if you die in the second part, you won’t have to play the first part again. In the first part, you will have to kill two groups of ordinary monsters. The second group of these monsters will be quite difficult, so do not rush to kill them before you formulate a proper strategy. Try killing the enemies one by one, especially those whom you find easy targets.

In the second part, you will have to battle a shadow version of Jing Ye, The Outlaw. This may be quite challenging; however, there is one particular point that needs your attention. Whenever Jing Ye dismounts, you should use the Dread Axe against him and break his shield.
How to Use the Banyan’s Heart
Once you defeat Jing Ye, the Outlaw, you will acquire the Banyan’s Heart right away. You will be able to use it to obtain two more abilities: Still Mind and Flow Like Water. Nevertheless, there is another reason why you should get this particular item. Both of the abilities listed above are needed to unlock several other abilities further down the progression tree.
Therefore, if you want to unlock more abilities and improve your character for the endgame, you have to acquire the Banyan’s Heart. Remember to get it during your exploration of the Crimson Forest, regardless of your main storyline progress.
