The Path Chosen is one of the last quests in Gothic I Remake, where you venture to the lands occupied by orcs. In this quest, you gain the trust of the orcs, perform a holy ceremony, and help Nazcrog in preparing himself for what awaits him on the other side of the magic wall. The Path Chosen Quest
The Quest of the Path Chosen is set in the Orc Mountains. Find your way to the Orc settlement and watch the scene that unfolds after you arrive at your destination. Having Ulu-Mulu with you will make orcs see you as the one destined for great things, and they will let you through the gates.
Inside, you will find yourself on a small fighting ground with an orc challenging you. Defeat him to move on. After this, turn around and talk to the orc who was standing next to the entrance gate before your conversation. Once it is done, proceed through the gate.
Talking with Nazcrog
Follow the trail to the camp and go past the big fire pit on the right-hand side. Go a bit further and then turn left to find the cave. Talk to the orc who is guarding the door and select all of his options for dialogue until you choose the option “Don’t you think Nazcrog would want to see me?” This will persuade him to allow you passage.
Inside the cave, talk to Nazcrog. You may need to move around to her left side before the interaction prompt appears. During the conversation, Nazcrog will tell you to create life from the dead.
Completing the Ritual
Exit the cave, then turn back towards the arena where you defeated the orc previously. Then move on to enter the temple that is located near the arena. Make sure to explore while moving downwards, but be on guard because an orc is guarding the dead body of the warrior that you previously defeated.
Continue going downwards until you get to the very bottom of the temple. Then go out and talk to the orc at the bottom level. The orc will test you with something simple.
To start with, you need to defeat some enemies, among them the Fire Lizard and the Biter. Once you eliminate these enemies, you should move towards the right part of the territory, where you will see the body of an orc. Take the Orc Spore from this body.
Having taken the spore, move to the temple and then go to the location where you saw the dead orc earlier. Place the spore in the dead orc’s body and thus complete the ritual which is needed in order to create life from the dead, according to Nazcrog’s request. Having done this, you should get out of the temple and move to Nazcrog’s cave. Inform Nazcrog about your success and then have a conversation with her. Now, you should escort Nazcrog to the barrier located in the temple.
Then move to the barrier together with Nazcrog and watch the cutscenes. Once everything is over, you can enter the barrier thanks to the amulet. Crossing this barrier finishes the Path Chosen quest.
