The only purpose of Shiny Beasts is to just have a variation of the beast type in your Vivarium. But to get them, there is no special spell or potion that will increase your chance of encounters. The only way to get Shiny Beasts is to go through all the lairs of their den repeatedly till you come across one. Scavenging the Forbidden Forest and the highlands to find them is the only way to collect these beast types. But before you can run off on your adventure, there are a few prerequisites you should meet.
For starters, you should have the Room of Requirements unlocked and the Vivarium to store your beasts. It would be better if you have all the Vivarium types unlocked to house them as well. Next, you will need to procure the Nab Sack, a type of bag that you can get by completing the quest for House Elf Deek called The Elf, The Nab-Sack, and the Loom.
Once you meet all the above requirements, you can start combing the dens and overworld to find Shiny Beasts. You will know you have nabbed one if you notice them looking slightly different than usual. Once you put them in the Vivarium and check the information, you will notice a star against their name, which means you have successfully nabbed a Shiny.
