The DMZ game mode in Call of Duty: Warzone 2 is similar to the popular title, Escape from Tarkov. The objective of the game is to drop into the map, loot for items, survive, and then exfiltrate. However, DMZ is an optimized mode for playing in a team of three people. This means that when you queue up for a match, you will be matched with two other players from your party. The enemy players in the match will also be in teams of three.
For Season 1 Reloaded, the mid-season update specifically mentioned Trio and the ability to assimilate enemies into squads of up to six members. Due to the update, some people are thinking that solo queueing in DMZ is impossible. In this guide, we’ll see how to solo queue in Warzone 2 DMZ.

How to Solo Queue in DMZ in Warzone 2 Season 1 Reloaded?
DMZ is primarily played in trios, but some players will also consider playing it solo or duo. Certainly, Warzone 2 is designed to be played with friends in trios, but solo queueing provides a much more challenging experience. Here’s how to do it.
- Launch the Warzone 2 DMZ Beta game.
- On the screen, you’ll see the Squad Fill Toggle Button.
- Turn it Off.
DMZ solo queueing can be difficult. Choose faction missions that you can complete solo, and avoid crowd areas when extracting. If you are queuing solo, you will need an adequate pack, a Self Revive kit, a Revive Pistol, and armor – nobody will come after you. Lastly, use Field Upgrades such as Deployable Cover or Munitions Box.
