Genshin Impact Version 3.2 is currently running the much-anticipated rerun of the Hypostatic Symphony event and a lot of things are different- including the Hypostasis. This rerun event will not feature any of the older Hypostasis that were present from the very beginning of the game. This event will feature only the Cryo, Pyro, Hydro and Dendro Hypostasis. Seeing as both the Cryo and Pyro Hypostasis are now unlocked, we thought it was about time we gave beginner players some tips to conquer them.
Hypostatic Symphony in Version 3.2 of Genshin Impact
This rerun event is actually much easier than its first run. It’s also thereby much less exciting. For starters it doesn’t have a timer and as long as players eventually defeat the boss, they get the prizes. Players can select difficulty modes but these are broad selections and they don’t have the versatility of options for choosing specific buffs and debuffs unlike previously. There isn’t even a scoring system to measure oneself against their peers.
The bosses still at least maintain their general standard of difficulty so unless you know their attack patterns inside and out, this event will still pose some challenge. Below we’ve listed some easy tips to beat these cubes.
Cryo Hypostasis
The main difficulty against this boss is actually the Sheer Cold terrain effect. Players have to take care of their Sheer Cold accumulation and constantly return to a source of heat in the arena (either mechanical heat sources or orange seelies as seen on Dragonspine).
- Use Pyro resonance for the 25% ATK buff and the extra Pyro application. Bennett is recommended as he can heal and further buff your damage.
- Use a Pyro DPS as they are the most effective against this boss.
- You can opt for elemental reactions like Vape or Overloaded but make sure your support doesn’t take too much time on the field to do their job.
- The DPS window is limited as the boss only becomes vulnerable for short periods of time.
- A shielder like Zhongli, Diona or Layla is preferable for their tanky shields which you will need against the boss’s AoE and homing attacks.
Pyro Hypostasis
The Pyro Hypostasis is an easy one provided you have consistent and powerful Hydro application.
- Use Hydro resonance for the bonus HP and consistent Hydro application.
- A healer like Kokomi or Barbara is preferable since they are both reliable catalyst healers with consistent Hydro application.
- A Hydro DPS like Ayato or Childe is ideal to deal damage to the boss during its DPS windows which are reliably long enough to reduce it to half of its health in one try.
- Once again you can use an Electro support for further damage.
- Use a shielder like Zhongli, Layla, Diona or Thoma to deal with the boss’s homing and AoE Pyro explosions. Since you will have Hydro Resonance, their shielding abilities will also grow stronger since they all scale off of Max HP.
- Use Barbara or Kokomi to tear down its Pyro shield with continuous Hydro application.
- Prioritize the vulnerable core of the Hypostasis when it’s exposed over its other Pyro constructs.
- Once the core is back in its shell, use Hydro catalyst users to quickly destroy its 3 supporting Pyro seeds.
Both these bosses are immune to their respective elements so there’s no point using DPS or sub-dps characters of the same element against them. One can use supports though. Players will only need to beat the Standard Difficulty to get all the Primogem rewards. Beyond that they only need to complete the Hard and the Fearless modes for the rest of the prism coins. The Extreme Difficulty challenge doesn’t have any rewards attached.
