Genshin Impact Version 3.3 Special Program has been announced and we already know the Wanderer is going to be playable. The archon quest in Version 3.3 will continue on from the end of the final Act V of the Sumeru Archon Quest Chapter. This update will focus on the fate of Scaramouche after the events that led to his awakening and defeat as a “God”. We already know one leak hinting at what might be in store for us regarding that.

Archon Quest Leaks in Version 3.3 of Genshin Impact

The Version 3.3 Archon Quest will apparently only be playable after players have completed Kaedehara Kazuha’s Story Quest. This hints that there might be some connection between Kazuha and Scaramouche but it’s still a long shot speculation.

What we do know is that Travelers will have a chance to name Scaramouche or the Wanderer after he wakes up from his coma. The above leak shows Keqing as a placeholder for Wanderer’s new playable model and the bar below allows each player to give a new name to Wanderer.

Though we get to name him, leakers say this name will only be relevant and applicable in the Serenitea Pot. The naming process will also have stringent restrictions- more than what players had when first choosing the name of the Traveler at the beginning of the game.

Some also theorize that the naming system for Fungi employed in the Fabulous Fungi Frenzy event was just Hoyoverse testing out this major event in the Wanderer’s storyline. According to leakers, Travelers will only get to name him once and yet this name will only be used in the Serenitea Pot of that particular player.

Beyond the teapot, in the overworld, he will still be referred to by his playable title as the Wanderer- both in written and verbal dialogue. We still hope that just like the Traveler, Wanderer too gets referred to by his given name in the written dialogue as this will endear us further to his character and relevance in the story.
