You can also just collect a Primeape and evolve it directly, and there are a few choice places where you can find them. In this guide, we will see how to evolve Primeape to Annihilape in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.

To evolve a Primeape, you need to find one. You can find Primeape in the West Province and the North Province. You can also try your luck exploring the southwest of Medali Gym to find one. If you still have no luck, you can just catch a Mankey and evolve it to Primeape. To get a Mankey, you can find it in the South Province, or the West Province. Once you get a Mankey, you can work on leveling it up to level 28 to evolve it to Primeape.
Now that you have a Primeape, you have to make it learn Rage Fist. You can make Primeape learn Rage Fist at level 35. Equip the move on Primeape’s moves and skills, and after that, you have to use it 20 times in a Pokémon battle. Since you have to use Rage Fist 20 times in one battle, you should bring enough Ether and potions to heal and replenish Primeape’s PP. After that, you have to level up the Primeape by one level, either naturally or by using Rare Candy. You should not visit the Poke Center during or right after using the Rage Fist 20 times, as this seems to stop Primeape from evolving. If done correctly, you will now have a new Fighting/Ghost Pokémon, Annihilape.
