Best Starter Pokémon in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet
Fuecoco is hands down the best starter Pokémon to use in early and mid-gym battles and can be swapped for a stronger Pokémon in later games. As Skeledirge, you can compete and win in most Victory Road Gyms and Starfall Street Bases, making you victorious in 5 out of the eight Gym battles. with its Modest and Quiet nature, you cannot go wrong with picking Fuecoco as your starter.
But if you are not sure of fire-type Pokémon, or are just not fond of them, you can also select Sprigatito and Quaxly. Their final forms are great to win most gym battles, so if you are looking for late-game adventures, then you can select them to fill your team. Also, you won’t encounter a lot of Pokémon in Grass and Water types having stats like these, so you can pick them up if you like the final forms and have a Grass or Water Pokémon in your team.
