Transmogging armor is a popular element in most RPG games, and you can now change the appearance of your equipped gear in God of War Ragnarok too. There are a few requirements that you need to meet first before you can transmog your gear, and in this guide, we will see how to go about it in God of War Ragnarok.

How to Transmog Armor in God of War Ragnarok

Transmogging armor or gear is the process of changing the physical appearance of said gear without changing the attributes and given stats. Here we will see how to transmog armor in God of War Ragnarok.

Before you can run around and try to change the appearance of your armor, there are a few requirements that need to be met.

You can only transmog a piece of armor and not the entire set.
You can only apply transmog after maxing out the armor piece
That means the armor piece should be at level 9 for you to unlock the transmogging menu.

Once you have all that down, you can start the process. For this, you don’t have to visit the blacksmiths Brok and Sindri, and you can very well transmog your armor in the in-game menu. Simply pull up the armor menu and select the equipment you wish to change. A different option will pop up now called Edit Appearance. Once you click on that, a new menu will show up where you can select the armor piece correlating to it, then click on confirm to change the appearance.

You should note that you can only change the armor piece to any armor you have already acquired before this, so if you wish to use an armor design that you have not claimed yet, you are out of luck. Also, you do not need to upgrade any armor that you will not be using or wearing, and you should only upgrade the armor piece you want to change the appearance of. For transmogging an armor set, you have to individually level up each of the items to level 9 and change the appearance.
