Snaking isn’t an old feature in the Call of Duty game franchise, but it is quite a controversial move. You don’t necessarily get to move out of your hiding spot, but it will give you a clear view of your opponent when they are approaching. Your opponent cannot see you, since you are going in and out at a very fast pace, so you will go unnoticed when you perform this move. This is somewhat of a glitch that players can take advantage of, but it is shunned in the Call of Duty community, as it slightly falls under cheating.
To perform a snake, you will have to alternate between the prone and clutch buttons on your keyboard or controller, and also use the sprint to keep going forward in your hiding place. This gives you better visibility while also helping you stay undetected. You can sprint around in circles behind your hiding spot while bobbing in and out of the ledge. With time, you can master this technique and use it in your next match.
