Madden is one of the most popular football video game series of all time. The newest release, Madden 23, is no different. However, there is a serious problem that has been plaguing the game since its release: a high or unrealistic number of interceptions.
This problem has been widely reported by Madden 23 players and has caused many to demand a fix from the developers. While the developers have yet to release a patch, there is a potential workaround that may help to alleviate the issue.
If you are experiencing this problem, or are simply interested in learning more about it, read on!
The Problem: A High Rate of Interceptions in Madden 23
One of the most common complaints about Madden 23 is the high rate of interceptions. This year, Madden NFL 23 made some modifications to the defense, but the alterations have made it quite simple to throw a pick, even on easier difficulties. In their first few games of the year, players have been throwing an absurd number of interceptions, and this has led to player complaints on the Madden subreddit. Many prospective quarterbacks in Madden NFL 23 are frustrated by defensive players’ apparent ability to snag just about everything thrown in their vicinity.
The Solution: Use a Workaround to Lower the Rate of Interceptions in Madden 23
Go to Franchise Settings and go to Override Team Settings. If you read it at the top right, it says to standardize settings for all users in the tournament or to allow differences in individual settings. Turn Ball Hawk Heat Seeker and Switch assist off.
When Will The Developers Fix This Issue?
While this workaround can help to make the game more enjoyable, it is not a perfect solution. The developers have yet to release a patch that addresses this problem, and it is unclear if or when they ever will.
One can only hope that they will eventually listen to the community and release a fix. In the meantime, those who want to continue playing Madden 23 can do so by using the workaround described above.
Hahah Reading this my first thought was: “what planet is this author from?” As I continued reading, I can definitely tell they haven’t been on Earth, for very long.
“Madden is one of the most popular football video game series of all time.”
The Most asinine and ignorant comment ever. Welcome to earth.
It’s because its the only NFL video game, it not because, its a good game; it’s horrible. 2k5 which is still infinitely better in every way, trounced Madden. EA forked over $$$ for exclusive rights when you can’t win buy out, the competition.
Ever since its inception, Madden has been garbage. its never worked, it’s always had game breaking issues, ridiculous stats, and before players got to assign XP you were at the mercy of random generated Attributes.
Madden On the PS2 your QB could set the league record in every category including rushing yards and Rushing TDs go undefeated win League MVP Super Bowl MVP and lose 10 points on the QB Ovr rating the 4th string RB with 2 carries goes up 5.
Then there were the plays that always worked on offense and defense.
Madden 24 will not have field sense and the QB passing mechanic because they’re ridiculous gimmicks designed to squash the its the same game every year crowd.
Its rushed crap they can’t ever make work.
Madden 98 Madden 06 Madden 23 all garbage.
2K5 with a modern Engine and roster update is still light years ahead of any Madden that’s ever been made, its really not that close.
2K5 is everything Madden has never been.
Madden has always been bad, and will always be bad, that will never change.
