The New World server transfer process has led to a pretty serious bug that’s destroying the economy of the game. During the server transfer, a small number of players didn’t have their data saved on the new server. While this is a problem, there is a gold dupe bug that’s triggered due to this situation. The characters that didn’t have their data saved on the new server could transfer gold from their account to other players and when they returned, their account status would be the same.
Repeating this process infinitely would pump the game’s economy with unhealthy amounts of money and that’s causing issues for the game.
The devs are aware of the situation and said, every transaction is logged in their database. They are reviewing them manually, which can take some time. Any player caught taking advantage of the exploit will be permanently banned from the game.
If you want to stay away from the ban or not be a suspect of exploiting the New World Gold Dupe bug, the devs suggest not to log in temporarily on characters that are affected by the bug.
The issue is currently resolved for most players at this point, but if your character is still affected, you should message the New World support and get the problem straightened out.
