As soon as you start the game, you’re faced with the difficult task of choosing a class in Diablo 2 Resurrected. Choosing the right class can be cumbersome for beginners. There are a few classes that are a little easier to control and have the perfect blend of talents to get you through the plot without too many problems.
Let’s first give you a quick tip before we move ahead with choosing a class in Diablo 2 Resurrected.
- You only have two attack options in Diablo 2: left-click and right-click.
- By pressing “S,” you’ll see a list of your available talents at the bottom of the screen.
- To add a shortcut to a talent, hover over it and press F1 through F8
Choosing a Class in Diablo 2: Resurrected
There are five classes in Diablo 2 Resurrected: Amazon, Barbarian, Sorceress, Druid, and Paladin. The Open Beta version includes two extra classes: Assassin and Necromancer, and they will be added to the main game as well. So five plus two equals seven classes. Here is the list of classes to choose from.
Sorceress
With her enormous nuke spells and ability to deliver heavy elemental damage, the Sorceress can be one of the most enjoyable classes to play at high levels. Players with a sorceress build have superior AOE attacks, the slowing effect provides some crowd control, and the bolt can be used to shoot Fallen Shamans. Once you reach level six, you can begin repeating Frost Nova, an excellent AOE control spell that you can effectively spam if you have enough mana. The skill tree is divided into three categories: Cold, Lightning, and Fire, each containing a mix of offensive and defensive abilities.
Barbarian
The Barbarian class is for you if you prefer being on the front lines while playing with your pals. If you really want to snipe crucial players, use Double Throw. The Barbarian can just wade or leap right up to them and kill them. Warcries, Combat Masteries, and Combat Skills make up the Barbarian’s skill tree.
Amazon
Amazons thrive in player-versus-player (PvP) combat with the correct gear and skills, and they can wield bows, crossbows, spears, and javelins to great effect. The Amazon skill tree has three branches. The weapons are the javelin and spear, passive and magical, the bow and crossbow. To spear the Fallen Shaman, assign a throw to your right-click attack and use it.
Druid
In the Lord of Destruction expansion, the Druid was added with the Assassin. He is a mix of all classes. When in wolf or bear form, the Druid excels at PvP, but elemental talents can also deal a lot of damage. Elemental, Shape-Shifting, and Summoning are the three skill trees available to Druid. Summoning and one of the other two branches are usually used in builds for support during a battle. Consider whether you’d rather be a bear instead at level six. The wolf is quick and agile, while the bear is slower but more capable of stuns and is tougher.
Paladin
The Paladin is likely the most powerful class in Diablo 2: Resurrected. Holy Fire is an elemental aura that deals AOE damage. Defensive Auras, Offensive Auras, and Combat Skills are the three branches of the Paladin skill tree.
Necromancer
This is a fantastically entertaining class that excels at summoning troops and piling poison damage. The Necro can also raise skeletons and bring back long-dead adversaries to battle alongside him. Summoning, Poison and Bone, and Curses are the three branches of the Necromancer’s skill tree. The Curse branch will be used in most builds, along with one of the other branches. It’s not as common to summon with Poison and Bone. Necromancer wands can provide free skill upgrades and, if you’re lucky, some lifesteal.
Assassin
The Lord of Destruction expansion introduced the Assassin. The Assassin is a powerful late-game PvE class that excels at PvP warfare. A single hit from an Assassin can bring a dueling opponent to their death with the appropriate combination of passive and active skills. Martial Arts, Shadow Discipline, and Traps make up the skill tree.
