To locate Amber, you need to travel all the way to the Dark Forest region. This is one of the colder regions of the map and can be found on the northwestern section, beside Frost Canyon. It is recommended to be above Awareness Level 55 before you can venture through here. You will also require cold resistant armor and iron or steel weapons to defend yourself. Once you are ready, make your way to Dark Forest Ancient Ruins Dungeon
Amber can be found by raiding the chests within the dungeons. These don’t drop from enemies, so as such you can just avoid them or tackle them quickly to find chests within. Unlocking these chests will give you amber and other rare items like mysterious leather, restrictive modules, and sunstones. The drop rate for amber from chests is completely RNG, so you might have to try a couple of times till you are able to get amber
