Scavenging for resources is one of the core functions of Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora. Luckily, Pandora does offer a variety of natural materials that you can use to complete quests, craft items, cook meals, and supply towards clan contributions. According to the Hunter’s Guide, you can find Radar Mushrooms amongst the Clouded Forest’s Scarlet Thicket Biome, with the rarer varieties found near the waterfall under the same biome. Two sub regions you can explore are The Cut and Crimson Great Wood. If you are looking for the waterfall, then make your way north towards Crimson Great Wood’s Scarlet Thicket Biome. Over here, keep heading north to find the waterfall, then explore the western side of the waterfall near TAPCon-1. You will find Radar Mushrooms here. Otherwise you can fast travel to the Unity Station Field Lab at The Cut to find Radar Mushrooms near the lab.
As mentioned above, the area where Radar Mushrooms grow is toxic, so you have to gain immunity to the toxins first. You will easily gain immunity as you keep progressing through the questline. Once you are ready, use your Ikran to fly over the area, then drop down since your mount will refuse to fall into the toxic gas. Use your Na’vi senses to spot the Radar Mushroom. To gather the mushroom, you need to break the outer protective shell, but there is an unusual method for it. You need to find and shoot three smaller mushroom pods surrounding the Radar Mushroom. They are usually very close to the mushroom stalk, so use any weapon to deal damage. Once you destroy all three pods, the stalk will open up, revealing the mushroom. You need to harvest it under Pristine and Night to get the optimal harvest.
