The Lootmapper is one of the earliest devices you can unlock and equip on your utility wheel. To unlock all devices, you need to reach the required Pioneer Level. At each Pioneer Level, you can unlock one device that will give you a different ability. For the Lootmapper, you just have to reach Pioneer Level 1. To reach level 1, you need to collect 100 Silver Coins. You can farm coins during your exploration, but it will take a bit of grinding.
Once you have accumulated 100 Silver Coins, make your way to the Pioneer Association in Jinzhou to unlock the Lootmapper. Add the device to your utility wheel and select it to activate the Lootmapper. You can check your map to locate all chests within a certain radius. You can set up three such Lootmappers at one time, but remember to collect them once you are done collecting the chests
