How to Unlock Xiaoba’s Keepsakes
You can kick off the Xiaoba’s Keepsakes Wandering Tale by going to the Seven-Hued Plain Boundary Stone located in the Suixiang area of Hidden Mountain. There is an upside-down house nearby, which serves as the beginning point for the quest.
Go to the opposite of the building from where you are standing and open the window using the rocks around you. Climb up or jump inside the house, and you’ll find Xiaoba’s Memo attached to the wooden beam next to the campfire. Reading the memo will start the Wandering Tale and provide three clues that will indicate where you should look for the quest items.

- By the Seven-Hued Plain
In this quest, you should remember that the house is upside-down. What one may think is the roof is actually the bottom of the house, and what would be the bottom of the house is the top of it.
Find the Puppet Blueprint
The first clue leads you to the top of the overturned house. You will be required to exit through a window, walk around the outside, and climb onto the foundation of the building.
Once you get to the corner of the building and see a small mound, you will find the Puppet Blueprint there. After picking it up, make sure to read the blueprint by opening your inventory.
You will also need to read Xiaoba’s Memo once again, as this will allow you to return the blueprint to its original location, thus creating another choice for you.
Obtain the Intricate Wooden Joint
Next, head to the large windmill visible from the overturned house. The memo tells you to find the place located above the windmill, where you will find the second item needed for the quest.
To climb the windmill, look for the red ribbons attached to it and follow them to the top of the windmill. Here, you will find the Intricate Wooden Joint. You can then go to the inventory to make sure that you have collected the item.
Collect the Cherished Flower Seeds
The last clue takes you to the place called the Seven-Hued Plain. At this point, you will discover that Shou Wei often takes care of the plants in this region but has not been back because he went away with a large companion of his.
Go to the lakeside close to the damaged ships and gather the Cherished Flower Seeds. After you have collected them, go back in the direction of the location of Shou Wei to find a piece of wood.
