Warhammer 40K: Darktide is an action video game set in the Warhammer 40K universe. Developed and published by Fatshark, it utilizes a very similar formula to that used in Vermintide 2 where up to four players cooperatively take out pre-selected waves of enemies (AI). Rather than typical character selection screens being present, Darktide lets players customize their own character so they can play as anyone they want – from fearsome veteran soldiers all the way down to psykers who are able to cast spells.
There were many types of currency available during Warhammer 40K: Darktide’s pre-order beta, but even more were introduced with its launch. Players could earn coins through missions or purchase coins with real money. In this guide, we’ll see what is the premium currency in Warhammer 40K Darktide.

What is Premium Currency (Aquilas) in Warhammer 40K Darktide?
The premium currency in Warhammer 40K: Darktide is called Aquilas. Most gamers will recognize Aquilas as the currency that requires a credit card in order to operate. The player can earn Aquilas by doing contracts, but they can’t take on a contract until they reach Trust Level 11. Players can also earn these coins by spending their own money, but there are also ways to obtain them – such as in-game missions and daily login rewards – if they do not wish to spend their own money.
A microtransaction store called the Commodore’s Vestures is available in Darktide. Players can purchase cosmetics that are exclusive to the Aquilas currency here, as well as in-game currency if they don’t want to earn it through the game. It is only possible to earn some cosmetics by performing certain penances (game challenges).
