Vlas has a short yet interesting questline in Mortal Shell 2, which will take you to various areas as you help Vlas find his cat companion named Mutton. In the process, you will have to find Vlas in certain areas, free him from the cage he was put into, and collect the Unremarkable Key. It’s definitely worth doing the quest because Vlas rewards you with the Coins of Mammon. In this guide, we’ll tell you where to find Vlas and how to complete his entire questline.
How to Start Vlas Quest
In order to find Vlas, travel to the outskirts of Mammon Beacon and proceed south to the Road of Absolution. Upon arriving at the Road of Absolution, locate the cliff edge on the left side and climb down. You will see Vlas near a wrecked wagon.
Vlas Quest Walkthrough
Vlas will request you to help him find his feline friend, Mutton. Interact with the nearby items to find Mutton
- Move forward, and on the left side you will find an axe. Interact with it to get dialogue from Vlas.
- Then move forward, and on the rock files you will find a chest box. Interact with it to get Coin of Mammon.
- Near the foot of the mountain, you will find a blood stain. Inspect it and then return to Vlas and talk to him.
- You will find a small cage under a wooden baggage cart opposite Vlas.
After that, rest at the beacon and talk to Vlas once more, and he will give you a Coin of Mammon as a reward.
Finding Vlas at the Lonesome Spire
Once you have completed the initial part of the quest, rest at Beacon and come back to Vlas. You will have to speak with him once more, and you will find out that he is about to depart from there. Now, you have to teleport to the Gate of Mammon via Mether’s Breath. From there, go to the top floor of Lonesome Spire. Vlas will be trapped in a cage behind the Brigand.
Just keep talking to Vlas until he requests you to find the key for his cage and free him. The key in question is the Unremarkable Key, which will be located on a table inside a shack to the north of the Sentry’s Grave dungeon. But before that, buy everything from the Brigand that you need, as he won’t be here anymore.
Check on Vlas and Mutton
After helping Vlas to escape, teleport to the Outskirts of Mammon Beacon and go back to the location where you originally met him. You’ll discover a letter there. Open the letter, and it will inform you that both Vlas and Mutton are safe. In order to complete the last part of this quest, teleport back to Marrow Keep, go to the left of Beacon, and meet with Vlas outside. He’ll give you another Coin of Mammon as a token of appreciation. You can sell the Coins of Mammon to traders and get 500 coins per item.
