In order to move fast on the map in The Blood of Dawnwalker, you can try acquiring the Wolf Shapeshift skill. This skill allows Coen to turn into a wolf at night, thus providing more convenience while exploring different locations on the map. In order to use this skill, however, you should pass through a short trial and raise his Corruption. In this guide, we’ll explain where to find the skill and how to unlock Wolf Shapeshift early in the game.
How To Get the Shapeshift Wolf Skill
The first step to unlock the Wolf form is to get the Mercurial Fervour manual, as this will help unlock the Haste ability. For that, you need to visit a particular shrine just south of Coen’s home. The exact location is marked on the map above.
Once you’ve done the prologue and got out of the area, go through the gate and take the path indicated on your map. Go through the area until you reach the foggy area. Once you reach there, you should see the large statue that you have to interact with and learn about the Ancient Circles of Vale Sangora.
Once you have interacted with the statue, move towards the stone casket located in the centre of the area. In order to unlock the ability, you need to use any one of the Witchcraft abilities that you have unlocked till now to start the trial. Once you start the trial, kill all of the enemies that spawn here, and once you finish them, a chest will spawn in the area.
How To Shapeshift Into A Wolf
Completing the trail and raiding the chest will uncover the Mercurial Fervour manual. Take the book to any shrine nearby; this way, you will get access to the Haste set of skills. You can then head over to your skill tree, select the Night option under Vampirism, and unlock the Wolf Shapeshifting ability. But there is one condition to unlock this skill. You have to increase your Corruption first.
To increase your Corruption, all you need to do is drink blood. When you increase your Corruption enough, allocate one skill point to unlock the ability of Wolf Shapeshift. Once you do so, you will be able to turn into a wolf during the night.
Remember that you cannot fight while turning into a wolf. The main function of Wolf form is to move faster while travelling around the map when you are not fighting. Also, you won’t take damage if you fall while in Wolf form. During the daytime, however, you can unlock the Haste ability under the Witchcraft section to run faster without turning into a wolf.
