Like most RPG games, Starfield does offer items that will help offer your character various boosts and buffs. As you explore the various planets, you can unlock new recipes to try out. But to use the recipe, you need to find and unlock the cooking station. Cooking food can help you store consumables while you are out scavenging. Some of the buffs you can get from food include restoring health or offering improved strength, among other things. In this guide we will see how to cook and find the cooking station in Starfield.

Where to Find Cooking Station in Starfield

After you get your ship during the start of the game, you will encounter a cooking station. But as you make progress and swap for better vessels, you might not find cooking stations there. Certain ships will have the cooking station attached, while other ships don’t offer such features. In case your ship does not have one, you can visit The Lodge and find a cooking station here. To find The Lodge, make your way to the following location.

• System: Alpha Centauri
• Planet: Jemison 
• Landing Site: The Lodge, New Atlantis

Upon entering The Lodge, take a right and take the stairs down to the basement. If you don’t have access to the basement right now, you need to find and talk to Sarah Morgan. Accept her offer in joining the Constellations, then you can use the cooking station in the basement.

How to Cook in Starfield

Now that you have the cooking station, you need to learn how to cook. To do that, unlock the Gastronomy skill from the Social skill tree for one point. You can then visit your research station to unlock new recipes. Then you can make your way to the cooking station and press E (PC)/ A (Xbox) to start cooking. If you don’t have any ingredients, then you have to scavenge various planets or purchase them from vendors.
