During the mission at the Slugrat HQ involving the Droideka, instead of overpowering it, the focus should be on attacking at the right moments. The fact that the Droideka has a regenerating shield means that you cannot rely on quickly damaging it. Added to that, enemies appear around it, thus distracting your team. However, the Droideka has a number of weaknesses that can be advantageous for your strategy.
Make the Droideka Move

The key thing to note is that the Droideka has a weakness when rolling. When it rolls up to a certain distance, its shields will turn off and the opportunity to inflict damage emerges.
Rather than sticking your squad near an opponent’s shields, stand back, and await his arrival. You can place an Operator in Overwatch to attack the Droideka when it approaches.
You can also use Kabb’s punches or a Concussion Grenade to push your opponent and deal with the challenge. Tel-Rea Force abilities will help you move your opponent, too.
Save Your Biggest Attacks for the Opening
The Droideka has the ability to regenerate 46 shield health every round, which means that insignificant strikes against them will disappear before any meaningful progress can be made. After the shields come down, it is imperative to capitalize on this chance.
Damage-dealing armaments like Repeaters and Longarm blasters should suffice when it comes to putting pressure down on the enemy. You may also use particular anti-droid devices if you have it in your possession. The Droid Popper grenade along with the Ion Modulator offer increased damage against ray shields.
The Ion Modulator becomes extremely efficient when attached to the Blaster Pistol so you can utilize it while firing multiple times on the turn. Nevertheless, these concepts cannot be guaranteed since they can be found in Black Market product lists or as mission rewards.
Don’t Let the Other Enemies Take Over

The Droideka may be the most important opponent, but you don’t necessarily want to face it at every opportunity. There are reinforcements coming in all the time, including Slugrats and other enemies.
If you completely ignore them, they can stack up and become a serious threat to your squad. Take care of minor threats when they show up, especially at the beginning of the battle since your squad will likely be weakened.
Once you’ve created some breathing room, return your attention to the Droideka. The objective is to prevent the reinforcements from overwhelming you without allowing the boss’s shield regeneration to undo all your progress.
Look for an Easy Kill Near Ledges
Alternatively, if you use the environment strategically against the Droideka, you may have some success. If there is a ledge or a drop nearby, try to lure the enemy to that location.
When the Droideka’s shields are down, try to get it pushed off the edge. The character Tel-Rea can be helpful because of her ability to use the Force to push the Droideka off.
Because unavoidable damage occurs from falling off a ledge, by getting the Droideka off, one can save from having to burn through its defenses normally.
Use Tel-Rea as a Support Unit
While she is a Jedi, that doesn’t imply that you should instantly throw Tel-Rea at the Droideka. She has limited health, and her melee-characteristic abilities naturally require her to be near danger more often than not.
Instead, make Tel-Rea work from the outskirts of the conflict. Using her Force power, Tel-Rea will be able to change the Droideka’s positioning, and with her attacking capabilities, she will be able to finish off weaker reinforcements whenever you need support by eliminating them.
The character has a skillset that includes melee attacks, which definitely work against the Droideka. However, employing her like this may expose her to needless danger. It is much safer to use her abilities to change the situation on the battlefield and keep her alive.
A Simple Game Plan
As soon as the battle starts, your priority should be the area rather than attacking the boss head-on. Eliminate any reinforcements that pose a physical threat before creating an opening for the Droideka to roll.
When it goes out to attack and the shields have lowered, this is your chance. Use Overwatch, concentrated attacks, anti-droid equipment, or Tel-Rea’s powers to take advantage of the opportunity. If a ledge is nearby, then drop the Droideka down, as there’s a possibility for a quick finish.
The ability to defeat the Droideka is not in trying to wipe out its shields but using its weak moments to your advantage.
