When you first start the Revelator quest, you have to help Gedeek get onboard the Star Destroyer’s control room. For this, you have to escort him as a prisoner, and during the start of the quest you will be stopped and questioned by the Imperial Officer. You have two options here; you can either choose to lie to the officer about Gedeek, or you can tell the truth. Now, in case you have picked to tell the truth or the lie, it won’t matter. Regardless of what you picked, you can still go past the officer and complete the rest of the quest

So making a choice here doesn’t matter, as the outcome remains the same. The only difference you will face is the dialog between your character and the officer. Telling a lie will shorten your dialog option with the officer and you will be let go quicker. Picking the option to tell the truth, however, will lead to an interesting conversation between the two of you. So depending on what you would like to hear while conversing with the officer, you can choose to either tell the truth or the lie
