One of the strange items you can uncover are artifacts, and there are a few of them hidden around the island, and one of them can be located inside the Rebreather cave. As mentioned above, you need to make your way to the Rebreather cave. You can find the cave using the GPS images below. It is found along the shoreline up north of the island.
There is a small gap where you have to shimmy your way through. Once you are inside, you need to make your way to the location where the Cross Light blueprint is located. If you are unsure of where to find it, we have an entire guide on how to find the Cross Light blueprint in Sons of the Forest Patch 12.
We will be picking up this guide from the location of the Cross Light blue print. After picking up the blueprint, check the right side of the cave to find a wooden barricade. Break down the barricade using your ax and enter the new area. Follow the path all the way to the end till you come across some metal rods sticking out from the rocks. At the end of this area is a metal platform where you can get the third artifact. After picking it up, it will be added to your inventory as ???.
