Since this is a PvP event, you need to prepare your ship to fight against opponents. If your ship rank has reached 5 and above, then you can participate in the event and also unlock some ship upgrades to make it sail faster. Here are some tips you can follow to win at the Cutthroat Cargo Hunt
- Prioritize speed over attacks. You need to get from point A to point B and escape enemy ships if you have the cargo. So using furniture that offer speed is the way to go
- You can also reduce your ship load and consume food that offer stamina so you can utilize the speed of your ship
- Furniture like Rope Locker and Balanced Mast will help in acceleration. But this takes up stamina so you will need consumables that offer stamina and also having the Sterile Galley I can help with stamina
- It will also help if you have the Bombarider (Padewakang) ship for this challenge. It is the fastest ship available, and with the added furniture and consumables, you will be unstoppable
- Not only will it offer the best speed, but it also a well rounded ship used for attacking
- This is especially useful to defeat the Merchant Ship and other enemies at sea
If you have successfully delivered the cargo to the designated port, then you will receive a legendary Treasure Map. Following the directions on the map will lead you to some legendary loot
