Unlocking the Artificer in Risk of Rain Returns is fairly simple. All you have to do is visit 10 unique maps and you can unlock this survivor at the end of it. There is no order on which maps you have to visit, as long as you don’t visit the same map again. Below is the list of all the maps that are currently in the game and can be visited.
- Level 1 – Desolate Forest/ Dried Lake
- Level 2 – Fungal Haven/ Sky Meadow
- Level 3 – Frozen Tundra/ Underwater Catacombs
- Level 4 – Magma Barracks/ Hive Cluster
- Level 5 – Temple of the Elders
- Boss Level – UES Contact Light
Most of these maps are variations of a single level, so you might have to play the game a couple of times till you can unlock all the maps. Once you do, you can check your roster to find the Artificer unlocked.
