While you can find TM 049 in the Overworld, you can also craft it if you have the required materials. To craft TM 049, you will need the following.

  • Sunkern Leaf x3
  • Torkoal Coal x3
  • Litleo Tuft x3
  • League Points x3000

You can get Sunkern Leaf, Torkoal Coal, and Litleo Tuft by defeating Sunkern, Torkoal, and Litleo. You can find Sunkern majorly in the South Province, mainly in Areas One to Six. You can also try your luck finding them in the North Province Areas One and Two. For Torkoal, you can find them in East Province (Area Three), and Litleo can be found in South Province (Area Five), as well as in East Province (Area One). You need to defeat a couple of them to get the required materials.

As for the League Points, you can get them by completing the main story quests, picking up missions, and participating in Team Star battles. Once you have the required materials, head over to a TM Machine and feed in the ingredients.
