Chromite is one of the useful minerals in Palworld that is necessary for crafting Hexolite. Hexolite is an important material used for making high-tier equipment and constructions in the game. Unlike other minerals, Chromite is not visible, and it is hidden in the ground. Thus, it is only possible to dig it with the help of special equipment. In this guide, we’ll tell you the best Chromite farming locations, how to collect it quickly, and what you can use it for.
How to Get Chromite in Palworld

Collecting Chromite requires either the Metal Detector or the Smokie. Though both are equally effective, it is advisable to get the Smokie even if you already have a Metal Detector. This is because, when you fully condense Smokie, its Partner Skill enhances the Chromite that you collect from a single deposit.
The Smokie can be acquired from the eastern part of the Feybreak Islands. To use its Partner Skill, you should first craft the Smokie’s Harness, which is unlocked at Technology Level 56. Once you have the Smokie in your party, press the Partner Skill to have it scan the surroundings. If there is any hidden Chromite close by, Smokie will reveal it for you.

If you’re tired of farming rare materials over and over again, the Ancient Material Synthesiser is one of the best additions in Palworld 1.0. Instead of spending hours searching for resources like Chromite and Coralum, this machine lets you produce them automatically right inside your base.
Best Chromite Farming Spot

Chromite can be effectively farmed near Kitsun Noct. The journey begins by teleporting to the Hidden Passage to the Oculus Gate fast travel point, which is located at coordinates (-1047, 1251). From there, you need to fly up north to find the entrance to the Dark Flame Tunnel.

There are various hidden Chromite deposits in the tunnel. As soon as you get into the proper range, the hidden Chromite deposits will spawn. If you’re using Smokie, activate its Partner Skill inside the cave. Smokie will reveal any nearby Chromite deposits, including multiple ones if they are close together. Then, all you have to do is mine them using your pickaxe.

Another good spot for farming is located near the Scorched Hill fast travel point. It is situated westward from the previously mentioned location. It’s important to use a Metal Detector in this place, as you will be able to wear it during a ground-mount ride. It will inform you about the presence of hidden Chromite nearby. In total, there are eight Chromite deposits in this area.
