Working on your character before you can start playing the game will require a bit of finesse. Here we will see how character creation works in Nightingale.

There are several options available while trying to create your character. If you are confused about the options available, we have them listed below with an explanation on what they do
Step 1: Basics
- Archetypes: This category will influence your lineage. There are 39 Archetype presets for each gender, and selecting one of them will decide your heritage.
- Age: You can select how old your character will be when you start the game. This section will also show you your character’s date of birth when you move the slider
- Voice: There are several voice presets you can select and add to your character
Ancestry
- Story: Besides tweaking your character’s looks, you can also give them an interesting backstory. There are several occupational backgrounds to pick up, such as Academics, Statesperson, and Officer
- Lineage: This category lets you pick your family tree starting from your great grandparents. You can select each block on the family tree and place any preset character here
- Inheritance: Over here, you can move the slider around to influence who your character will look like more based on the previous family tree
Step 2
- Skin: Determines your skin tone
- Hair: Style your character’s hair and hair color, as well as facial hair and eyebrow shape and color
- Head: You can check out what head shape will suit your character. This includes changing the proportions of your skull, cheek, jawline, nose, ears, and brow
- Eyes: Pick your eye color, eye shape, and eyelash
- Mouth: You can change the size and shape of your lips and teeths here
- Makeup: Apply makeup on your characters eyes, lips, cheeks, and eyelashes
Difficulty
- Equip – This section determines your starting loadout. You can pick between Easy, Medium, Hard, and Extreme. Easy difficulty lets you start the game with most necessary equipment for survival. Extreme difficult will start the game with nothing
- Realm Power – The higher the realm power, the tougher your environment will be. Again you can choose between Easy, Medium, Hard, and Extreme.This setting will only affect your starting Realm, and not the subsequent Realms you will visit
