Artifact sets are items that can be equipped on characters to increase their stats and provide various bonuses. Artifact sets can be obtained from various sources, such as domains, bosses, chests, quests, and events. With the release of Fontaine in Genshin Impact 4.0, we have two new artifact sets that can be farmed from a single domain.
The two new artifact sets are namely- Golden Troupe set and Marechaussee Hunter set and they can be farmed from the Denouement of Sin Domain which is located underwater. Once you unlock the domain you can farm both of these sets until you have full sets of both. Read on as we elaborate on their set effects and which characters they will be best used on.
Fontaine Artifact Sets in Genshin Impact 4.0 Explained
Both of the following artifact sets seem to be very strong and veteran players can instantly pick out which characters to test them out on and which they will be best used for. Both of them are DPS-enhancing sets with one being catered to main DPS units and the other being for off-field DPS units.
Golden Troupe Set
The set effects of this artifact set are as follows:
- 2-pc Bonus: Increases Elemental Skill DMG by 20%.
- 4-pc Bonus: Increases Elemental Skill DMG by 25%. Additionally, when not on the field. Elemental Skill DMG will be further increased by 25%. This effect wilt be cleared 2s after taking the field.
This set is catered to off-field DPS units that rely on their elemental skills as their main source of damage. The three characters this will be best used on are Fischl, Yae Miko and Albedo. This could also be an alternative set for Nahida in Aggravate teams but her BiS (Best-in-slot) will still be the Deepwood Memories set for its 30% Dendro DEF shred.
Marechaussee Hunter Set
The set effects of this artifact set are as follows:
- 2-pc Bonus: Increases Normal and Charged Attack DMG by 15%.
- 4-pc Bonus: When current HP increases or decreases, CRIT Rate will be increased by 12% for 5s. Max 3 stacks.
This set seems catered to main DPS units that sap away at their own HP for attacks. This is another great set for Xiao and is Lyney’s signature BiS set. This could also be a great set for Hu Tao but she likely won’t be able to make full use of its bonuses unless she is used without a shielder or in a Burgeon team with a healer.
Both of the above sets will likely have more users as we get more Fontaine characters. Since these are rather general and simplistic DPS sets, it would be wise to start farming them already even if you don’t have any character to use them on right now. Future users will likely be far stronger with these sets compared to current characters because this set is catered to Fontaine and we hardly only have 2 Fontaine characters at the moment in Genshin Impact 4.0.
