If you wish to unlock a gun from a particular weapon platform, you have to go through the progression criteria from the base weapon and unlock all the others till you get your choice of weapon. While you can unlock most guns through weapon progression in the Gunsmith, there are some guns that you can only unlock if you purchase them. Here we will see how to unlock the Dragonfly Assault Rifle in Modern Warfare 2.

The Dragonfly Assault Rifle is a PlayStation-exclusive weapon blueprint, and can only be obtained if you purchase the Oni Operator Pack. The pack is only available for PlayStation users and needs to be purchased with real money. Whether the pack will be available for Xbox and PC players is uncertain, so this weapon can be owned by PlayStation users currently.

Along with the Dragonfly Assault Rifle blueprint, whoever purchased the Oni Operator pack will also receive Operator Hiro “Oni” Watanabe, a Japanese samurai warrior turned mercenary who was forced to quit the military. The Operator bundle will be available till October 27th, 2023, after which the fate of the bundle is unknown.

The Dragonfly comes with its set of attachments, but the loadout can be changed according to preference. To equip the Dragonfly, head over to the Custom Loadouts option under the Weapons tab and select the M4. You will find the Dragonfly Assault Rifle here.
