Modern Warfare 2 Beta has plenty of new and recurring features that you can try out while playing the game. As with most Call of Duty games, you can check for Latency and Packet Loss to ensure smoother gameplay. It just takes a few tweaks in your game settings to see this through. You can also enable the FPS Counter to know how well your framerate is faring. Luckily, all these features are in-built, so you don’t need any third-party application to check Latency, Packet Loss, and enable the FPS counter. In this guide, we will see how to do all that in Modern Warfare 2.

You need to check certain in-game settings to view Latency, Packet Loss, and enable the FPS Counter. Here we will see how to do all that in Modern Warfare 2.

Checking the Latency and Packet Loss is crucial if you wish to have a better gameplay experience. To do that, just follow the steps below.

  • While in a match, open up the Pause menu
  • Once you are here, head into the Settings tab and select the Account and Network option
  • You can check the Latency and Packet Loss on the right side of the screen.
  • If you wish to view them while in a game, you can enable the options on screen as well
  • To do that, go back to the menu and head into Settings > Interface
  • Scroll down till you can find the Telemetry option
  • Click on Show More, then select the options you wish to view on the screen. 
  • You can also find the option for the FPS counter here, so you can enable that as well.
  • You can now view your options on the topmost left-hand corner of the screen.
