The Lightreaper Location
The earliest boss you will encounter is the Lightreaper during the tutorial. But you cannot defeat him here, since he is way too overpowered for you. After your defeat, you will meet him again towards the end of your exploration of Fitzroy’s Gorge. If you take the unknown path on the left after you enter through the first doorway with the closed gate, you will be taken to a field where the Lightreaper will appear. If you die here too, he will appear a third time at Upper Calrath leading towards Bramis Castle. The Lightreaper will not reappear in the Defiled Sepulchre and Fitzroy’s Gorge after your initial defeat. You have to find him at Upper Calrath for the final encounter.
The Lightreaper Boss Fight Guide
- During his second appearance, the Lightreaper will appear on his dragon mount
- The mount can spew fire in a line, as well as slam its body on the ground.
- Both of these attacks can be invaded with a timely dodge.
- Don’t try to attack the dragon, just keep dodging and wait for Lightreaper to hop off the mount
- Once he is on the ground, get up close and hit him a couple of times before he starts his attack animation
- The Lightreaper uses two swords to swing rapidly. There is a short moment when he stops swinging, during which time you can attack him
- He will quickly disappear and reappear in random areas, sometimes reappearing on his mount
- Keep an eye on your surroundings if you don’t spot him and keep running around
- Repeat the steps above when he hops off the mount
- He might also charge his attacks, so be weary and get out of the way if he starts to power up
- If you are defeated here, you will encounter him for the last time at Upper Calrath Plaza
- The fight sequence is the same, but it will be faster and more aggressive
- He will also have health regeneration if the Umbral entity above him is alive
- Kill the entity, then follow the same steps above to defeat him
