As you progress further into the game, you can unlock new areas to set up your base. The first area you need to clear out is Pine Heights, then once you do that you can venture on and unlock Edge Cliffs and ultimately Yellow Forest. For all of these three places you need to get rid of the debris around the lands before you can start building structures. Luckily, this isn’t a big chore, as all you have to do is get rid of weeds, slimes, and other items on the floor and surroundings. You can get rid of slimes by using the hose to pull up water and hosing them down. You can also cut out weeds and destroy rubble using the various mechanics on the mech. Utilize your mech’s added machinery to help you do the task of clearing out the debris from each area.
Your first task will be to clear and set up Pine Heights, after which you can unlock the other two areas. Once you clear the areas, you can discover new materials that will help in crafting and also new spaces to set up your homestead.
