Almost all available VR material, particularly the frowned upon entertainment, is easily accessible from any device. But for Sony’s PSVR, it’s more complicated if you don’t have the right knowledge. Fortunately, now we are able to watch PSVR videos with PlayStation VR. The PS4 gives you access to the internet browser and applications that can provide the experiences you are looking for.

If you use the native PS4 browser you can get to the content you will need to enjoy VR videos. Just entering your favorite website from the browser or using the applications available in the store that play multimedia files and with a flash drive (Pen Drive) could be enough.

Sony has recently fixed the problems with 360-degree videos. They were not supported and could not be played on Sony consoles. That meant that from ****hub for example, they could not be played and if they were downloaded, it gave an error.

Now, to be able to enjoy that version of virtual reality in 360 degrees, you will have to do more settings, but working on it, in the end, is worth it.

How to watch PSVR Video with PlayStation VR

Here is the step-by-step guide and instructions on how to watch PSVR vidoe with PlayStation VR, without dying in the attempt:

  1. Turn on your PlayStation console.
  2. Download and install the Littlstar VR Cinema app for PSVR on your PlayStation.
  3. On the PC, prepare a flash drive (USB Pendrive) of at least 16GB with exFAT or FAT32 format.
  4. Inside the USB create a folder called LITTLSTAR.
  5. Download any vrsmash or vrporn video from PSVR 180 or 360 and transfer them to the LITTLSTAR folder on the USB.
  6. Inside the USB, rename and add at the end of each file: _180_sbs.mp4 (if it is a 180-degree video) or: _360_sbs.mp4 (if it is in 360 degrees) or: _360_ou.mp4 (if it is in 3D). For it to work, it should look like this: “myivideoporno_180_sbs.mp4”.
  7. Take the USB out of the PC and connect it to the PS4’s USB port. Turn on the system and open the Littlstar VR Cinema app with your PSVR glasses, navigate to the library on the right, choose a video and enjoy.

Important:

– For the Littlstar application to recognize your videos, you must correctly rename the files. For example, if you download a video called “alice.mp4” you will have to rename it to “alice_180_sbs.mp4”. Rename according to version: 180, 360, or 3D (see instructions above).

– If a video does not work correctly, it is because you have not downloaded the version of your device, in this case, Playstation VR.

– Keep in mind that virtual reality video download pages have limitations on how many downloads per day. Choose your videos well.

In this way, you can start watching movies (for adults or of any kind) with your PlayStation VR on the Sony console.
