While wandering N’Eurd with The Dark Horizon DLC, you will find a robot that needs your help. However, repairing the robot requires you to locate some items scattered around in the area. To repair the robot in The Dark Horizon DLC, you’ll need to find three additional items: a Prototype Arm, a Claw, and a Memory Core. These items are scattered throughout N’Eurd. And to start the quest you need the Prototype Head.
How to find the Prototype Head
Near the beginning of the DLC, you’ll be riding a tram that accidentally hits a robot. You’ll take the robot’s head and carry it with you, thinking it might be useful later. And it turns out to be.
How to Use the Prototype Head
To start the quest, take the Prototype Head to the Repair Lab in the Agronomy Sector. You can use gliders to get there faster. Follow the path from the Gardener until you reach the Anterior Recess checkpoint, then take the left glider and drop down to the left.
When you reach the Repair Lab, talk to the robot to find out what parts it needs. The robot won’t tell you hints to where to find the missing parts.
How to Find the Prototype Arm
To find the Prototype Arm, go to the Anterior Recess checkpoint in the Agronomy Sector and take the right glider. Swoop down to the platform immediately before the glider. There will be an elite enemy guarding the Prototype Arm in the back.
After defeating the enemy, you’ll find the Prototype Arm on the ground. You can take it to the robot immediately or wait until you have all three parts.
How to Find the Prototype Claw
To find the Claw, go to the Withered Necropolis. From the Gardener, take the left glider to the partially destroyed bridge. There will be enemies along the way, but continue to the left.
At the end of the path on the left, you’ll find a partially destroyed robot holding a glowing object, which is the Claw. You can take it to the Repair Lab or wait until you have all three parts.
How to Find the Prototype Memory Core
The Prototype Memory Core is the last part you need to repair the robot. It’s located in the Withered Necropolis, near the bridge where you found the Prototype Claw. Look for the platform to the left of the bridge.
To reach the platform where the Prototype Memory Core is located, you’ll need to use a glider. It’s lower than the bridge, so it might be hard to see. Once you’re on the platform, go to the back area and find the Memory Core sticking out of the dead robot. With all three parts, return to the Repair Lab to complete the quest.
The Prototype Memory Core has a secret button that can be activated. This button changes the Core’s mode, which might affect the outcome of the quest and the rewards you receive. So, you’ll probably need to play the quest at least twice to see both possible endings.
