Like most vocations, you have to complete quests or explore the regions thoroughly to unlock the Trickster. There are two ways to unlock the Trickster. The first and easiest way is to explore the Battahl Forest area found on the west side of the map. From the forest area, you will be led east, where you will encounter a shrine. Enter this shrine to automatically unlock the Trickster once you speak to Luz. If you cannot find the shrine, then you can also reach here by following a questline. You need to meet up with an old man in Battahl Forest. He will be waiting on the path from the forest if you are walking on foot past the checkpoint. Escort the man to his designated spot, and you will find the shrine. Do note that the way through the forest is a dangerous one, and if you are not level 25 by now, you will have a hard time
The Trickster is a non-pawn vocation, so you can use it as a main class. There is a new weapon added to the Trickster called the Censer, which aids the Trickster as a support class. This vocation is great at illusion and magic damage while offering buffs to pawns and party members.
