Snezhnaya has finally arrived with Genshin Impact 7.0. The latest update introduces players to the homeland of the Tsaritsa and the Fatui. The journey to this region is not overly complicated, despite appearing difficult. The guide will cover the requirements for entering the land, the best way to reach it, the unlocking of the map, and overall mechanics of Snezhnaya.

How to Get to Snezhnaya

If you are a new player, start by completing Archon Quest Prologue: Act III, “Song of the Dragon and Freedom.” Once you complete the quest, the teleport waypoint in Snezhnaya will show up on your map.

After that, you can check your map for the waypoint and teleport to the Snezhnaya. There is no need to complete Nod-Krai or to visit the other nations, so new players will find this shortcut very helpful in their progress in the game.

Returning veteran players are also welcome to use the teleport whenever it’s available for use.

Entering Snezhnaya Through Nod-Krai

If going to Snezhnaya without the shortcut is what you would like to do, you can get there by going from Nod-Krai. Teleport to the False Moon Institute Domain in Ashveil Peak, and from there move toward the northwest direction of the northern border of Snezhnaya.

It might be hard to see the waypoint when your map is zoomed out. Therefore, you should zoom in close to the northern part of Nod-Krai to be able to see the waypoint more easily.

Unlocking More of the Region

Upon reaching Snezhnaya, search for the Statue of the Seven. The activated Statue reveals the surrounding areas of the map and its teleport point. You can also select “Resonate with Cryo” which allows the Traveler to gain the Cryo elemental alignment.

Snezhnaya can be divided into five main regions, namely Volkodlak Tundra, Flamefeather Valley, Everfrozen Earth, Fellfrost Peak, and White Birch Snowgrave. Each region is unique and has its own exploration content.

What to Expect in Snezhnaya

Apart from its snowy landscape, the region features many new mechanisms. The Eye of Graeae provides aid to the Traveler in tolerating the frigid Snezhnaya and cooperating with Kresnik’s Torches, together with others, in improving temperature resistance.

Also, players meet Shadow Realms, sections where normal elemental powers do not function. In Shadow Realms, Eye of Graeae provides players with firearms that are suitable for those sections and change the approach to exploration and battles.

Among other new elements are Prime Ice Constructs, which are relevant for environmental puzzles, as well as a railway network connecting different settlements of Snezhnaya.

In most cases, just completing Prologue: Act III and using the Snezhnaya teleportation waypoint is enough to get to Snezhnaya. Then, players only have to use Statues of the Seven to gradually open up the region and begin exploring everything Snezhnaya has to offer.
