If you’ve been wondering when you’ll finally get to meet the legendary Peter Pan in Disney Dreamlight Valley, the wait ends after completing a chain of story-rich quests. But before he flies into your valley, there are a few magical hurdles to clear—starting with befriending The Forgotten.

Start with The Forgotten

Peter Pan won’t appear until you’ve unlocked The Forgotten as a character and finished their complete series of friendship quests. These are:

  • A Forgotten Name
  • Shadows on the Wall
  • A Ship of Gold
  • The Music’s on the Walls

Let’s break it down.

Step-by-Step: Peter Pan’s Questline

A Forgotten Name – Naming The Forgotten

This initial quest is brief and easy. Once you lead The Forgotten to Skull Rock, they will request a name from you. Then, they become officially part of your valley—free to just hang around like any other character.

Shadows on the Wall – Light Up the Shadow

This is where things start to get interesting. You’ll head into Skull Rock and finally spot a mysterious shadow—spoiler: it’s Peter Pan. To help him move around, you’ll need to craft Pixie Dust Lanterns and rotate them to direct beams of light.

Gathering the materials for these lanterns is somewhat of a chore. You’ll require Pixie Dust Orbs, Glass, Vitalys Crystals, and so on. The lanterns trap the shadow once you place them properly so that you can interact with them. Deciphering some riddles from the Jade Skulls opens up the way ahead.

A Ship of Gold – Sailing a Pirate Ship

This mission has you pursuing a misbehaving Pixie Dust Orb that constantly escapes through gates and caves. You’ll have to locate a lost Rope Winch, collect yet more Pixie Dust, and then harness it to propel a pirate ship into flight. Yes, flight. That ship serves as your bridge to a new region.

The barrel puzzle is the last challenge in this quest. Switch barrels around to align symbols and unlock a gold key which will unlock the Captain’s Cabin and take you directly to the final quest.

The Music’s on the Walls – Playing Peter Pan’s Song

Here’s where the musical magic happens. You’ll start by collecting Glowing Musical Notes scattered across locations like Forgotten Lands, Dream Castle, and Dazzle Beach. Use clues from a Memory to track them all down.

Soon, you’ll discover and unearth a Pan Flute. With the notes gathered, head back to Skull Rock, sort them out as per the music sheet placed nearby, and play the melody. That finally brings Peter Pan out of the shadows.

But he’s not coming with you yet—he wants to play.

Beat Peter Pan at His Own Game

In order to gain Peter’s trust (and demonstrate to him that adults can have fun too), you will have to beat him at hide-and-seek. Stay on the path of Pixie Dust or get clues from villagers, but the quickest route is going directly to the Dark Castle—that’s where Peter Pan is in hiding.

When you locate him, he accepts your invitation to join your valley.

Construct Peter Pan’s Hideout

Finally, as the last step, put Peter Pan’s Hideout anywhere in your village. Pay the final 20,000 Star Coins and voila—Neverland’s most well-known flier is now yours to spend time with.
