The Ancestral Forge is a new crafting unit introduced in the Gloomrot update. It’s one of the most important machines in your castle, as it can help repair shattered weapons. Shattered weapons are powerful weapons that broke the war long back. Restoring these weapons will elevate your level and the weapons ability beyond merciless. So, knowing how to unlock Ancestrial Forge and craft it will help you become stronger and take on the powerful bosses in the new zone.
How to Unlock Ancestral Forge in V Rising
To unlock the Ancestrial Forge, you need to beat Octavian the Militia Captain, and drink his V Blood. While Octavian is a level 58 boss, he is much easier to kill than some other bosses at and around this level. The great thing about defeating this boss is that you can unlock two structures for beating him. The other is equipment storage.
How to Craft Ancestrial Forge in V Rising
Once you have beaten the boss and unlocked the unit, you can craft the Ancestrial Forge the same way you craft any other crafting unit. You need to press ‘B’ to bring up the menu and then go to crafting and choose to place the structure within your castle boundaries. The resources required to set up the unit are 1 x Primal Blood Essence, 8 x Radium Alloy, and Iron Ingot.
To get the Primal Blood Essence, check the Blood Press; it has recipes that can produce the item if you have unlocked it. You need to beat Jade the Vampire HUnter to unlock the recipe for the primal Blood Essence. To unlock the Radium Alloy recipe at the Forge, you need to defeat Ziva, the Engineer. To unlock the iron recipe, you need to beat Quincey the Bandit King.
After unlocking the Ancestral Forge, the rest of the process to get better gear is purely RGN-based. The shattered weapons that can be reforged in the Ancestral Forge are found randomly but often dropped when you defeat a high-level boss.
