Modern Warfare 2 was released a few days back, and players are still trying to figure out the game’s features. Though it is a reboot version of Modern Warfare 2, released in 2009, it has brought a list full of new features for the players to explore and enjoy. Customization is probably one of the main features in a game that players enjoy, and Modern Warfare 2 has brought many customization options for the players.
Weapon tuning is one of many customization options available. This guide will help you know how to tune weapons in Modern Warfare 2.
Tuning Weapons in Modern Warfare 2- How It Works?
Weapons are one of the main elements in Modern Warfare 2. An action-shooter game like COD can’t be played without weapons. However, it feels great if you can give your weapon a unique look. Generally, in COD games, weapon skins are nothing new, but Modern Warfare 2 has heightened things to another level by opening the way to customize every available weapon further.
While attachments are already customizing your weapons, you can now make them more customized by customizing the attachments through the ‘Tune’ option. Unfortunately, the Tune option is not available from the beginning of the game. Instead, Tune is an option player can get after leveling up the weapon to the max level. Once you level up your weapons to their max levels, you can get the ‘Tune’ option beside every weapon attachment.
Tuning allows you to customize the weapons further by adjusting the Recoil Stabilization, Aim-down Sight Speed, Bullet Velocity, etc. To be precise, while the attachments add abilities to your weapon and customize its power, Tuning helps you customize the attachments’ abilities. Of course, using Tuning, when you strengthen one of the sliders of an attachment, the second one will go weak. For example, if an attachment has two sliders- Speed and Stability, and you tune for speed, you will get a tremendous speed at the cost of your weapon stability.
Now that you have read this far, there’s another important thing you need to know: Modern Warfare 2 has currently withdrawn the Weapon Tuning because of a bug that was affecting the gameplay and crashing the game. To date, there’s no news of when it will return to the game. However, we hope Infinity Ward will soon fix all the bugs and make this feature available.
That’s all you need to know about the weapon tuning feature in Modern Warfare 2. If you are a fan of customization, weapon tuning is an excellent option for you, and we hope it’ll be back soon. We’ll update if we find any change in Weapon Tuning feature after it returns.
