Smelting ore is one of the features that The Front has to offer. You can get various ores while mining and drilling, and you can take the ore to the smelters. Once you activate the smelter and place the ore, you can get raw materials. These materials can be used in crafting buildings and weapons, and there are several ore types to find in the overworld. You can use the smelter after crafting it from the Tech menu. For it, you need the necessary materials to craft a smelter. Now all that is left is to use it. To use the smelter, you first need to collect wood by chopping trees.
Next, make your way to the smelter and interact with it. Two menus will appear on the right, one for the consumables and one for the inventory. In the consumable section place the wood you have collected, then place the required ore in the inventory bar. Click on activate to start the fire. If you check out the left side of the screen, you will find several crafting choices. Select which ingot you want to craft from the crafting menu. You now have to wait around for the smelter to finish its job.
Sometimes the smelter will bug out and not craft anything even if the required materials are placed inside. In that case, the only way for the smelter to work is if the smelting menu is opened and active. If you walk away, sometimes the smelter will not work and bug out.
