There are plenty of building structures you can create, and while building your base you can place a couple of grass mats for your tribesmen and yourself. Grass mats are the earliest resting spots you can create, and it just requires 5x thatch and 2x thick rope. Thatch and thick rope can be handcrafted, and so can the grass mat. Just place the mat anywhere you want and sit on it to recover morale. The only drawback to this is that it takes a long time to gain 100% morale through the grass mat

As soon as you have unlocked the carpenter’s bench, you can start crafting planks. With that, you can unlock the bed and craft that instead. Crafting a bed requires 20x Tatch, 4x Thick Rope, and 10x Planks/Hardwood Planks/Premium Hardwood Planks. Beds can help you gain morale at a much faster rate, but you will be locked behind a loading screen the entire time your character is on the bed.

Until their morale is increased, you cannot come out of the screen. If that is a deal breaker, then try crafting chairs or higher level mats that will help you gain morale without the lock screen interrupting you
