At times creepy and somber, the game has a heartwrenching story that’ll keep the horror game fanatics at the edge of their seats. It is based in Southern France where rats are spreading the deadly black plague, and they must escape and save themselves. In this guide, we will take you through the process of how to save your game in A Plague Tale: Requiem.

Can You Save Game in A Plague Tale: Requiem?

A Plague Tale: Innocence which was the predecessor, was released over three years ago. The new game is bound to be an improvement from the sequel as there is a much better combat system now where you have more options for the elder character of Amicia. The story follows the events of the first game, where Amicia and Hugo are looking for a cure for Hugo’s peculiar blood disease.

As you progress through the story, you might want to be prepared and save your game in case anything unfortunate happens. There are 16 chapters that you can play through, which is a lot. Amicia is the protagonist through whom you’ll be able to interact with more characters over the course of the gameplay.

You will discover that the game will autosave at certain points, usually at a new location. However, there seems to be no way to manually save the game yet. This is bypassed through Check Points, and if you want to save the game you will need to visit one of these points. You can find Check Points next to your mini-map on the top right of your screen.

Note that you will be starting from the last Check Point you were at, no matter where you died. The option for manual saving is not present as this is a survival game, and that is how it is most of the time. The game is supposed to be unpredictable in a way that you cannot save yourself sometimes, and that adds to the charm of the horror aspect.
