To find the Great Furnace of Narvi, make your way past The Elven Quarter in The Western Halls. When you enter this area, there are several encampments of Bears and Goblin Men, so try to avoid them for now. Keep going deeper into the Elven Quarter till you stumble across a clear path to the Great Furnace of Narvi. When you interact with the furnace, you will find that there are three pieces missing from it. You need to find the Replacement Crank, Replacement Gear, and the Replacement Pipe. Luckily you can find most of these items near and around the furnace itself.

Replacement Pipe Location

The Replacement Pipe is a bit hard to get. It can be found on the right side of the Orc camp that is guarding the entrance to the Great Furnace of Narvi. If you can, you can defeat the Orcs and explore the right side of the area to get the Pipe. It is hidden within an enclave in the wall.

If that is too much effort, then go to the area where the missing pipe is highlighted and investigate it. It can be found near the roof on the right side of the furnace, but you have to get up there by jumping on the broken stairs. You will get a blueprint to craft the pipe after investigating the empty slot. After that, make your way to the nearest camp or forge to craft it. To save some time, you can also build a forge close to the furnace. The following materials are needed to craft the pipe

  • Wood Scraps
  • Stone
  • Coal
  • Iron Ingot

Once you have the pipe, make your way back to the area where you need to place the pipe. Press R when you are near the stairs to toss the pipe up there. Before it rolls back down, quickly jump up and catch it. Place the pipe in the designated slot and find the other items.

Replacement Crank Location

Check the immediate area around the furnace to find the Replacement Crank on the floor. Pick it up and place it on the furnace handle slot to complete one part of the objective. You can also craft this item at a forge if you have the materials. To get the blueprint of the Crank, investigate the empty slot to get the blueprint

Replacement Gear Location

The gear can be found once you go up the stairs located on the left side of the furnace. Climb up the stairs and you will find the gear part propped against the wall. Carry it and bring it down and attach it to the wall near the furnace. This part can also be crafted at a forge if you have the materials for it. Again, you have to investigate the missing space to unlock the blueprint.

How to Start the Great Furnace of Narvi

Once all the parts are in place, interact with the furnace to start it. But be prepared, as waves of enemies will come after you. Use your best weapon and a shield to ward them off. Clear the area and then interact with the furnace to start crafting steel weapons and gear.
